The release of several affordable CD and DVD disc printers has resulted in a host of new printable discs coming to the market. Bulkpaq are the latest company to boost their range of printable media. The new Bulkpaq 4x DVD-R full face printable is due to be launched in the European, Middle Eastern and African markets next week. The disc is a direct replacement for the Bulkpaq 4x printable, which was reviewed here. Bulkpaq have also launched a 4 speed +R printable.

A businessman claims to be losing £70,000 a year because illegal copies of his videos and DVDs are being traded on internet site eBay. Keith Bowen, 57, who owns a company called Nite Out promotions, buys the rights to racing events, from horse races to fun pig races, and adds graphics and commentary. He then sells the package to pubs, clubs and charity event organisers.

Xbox 2 may make use of the HD-DVD format, if some Japanese electronics giants have their way. At the CEATEC Japan technology exhibition, now ongoing just outside of Tokyo, a manager at NEC revealed that his company is working to get Microsoft to use the format in the successor console to Xbox.
